His career started as a financial analyst for a Canadian equity fund for eight years. He became a strategist at a UK investment research firm. He then held the portfolio manager and sub-advisor roles for a Canadian ETF. In 2020, he founded Factor-Based Asset Management, overseeing all strategies and portfolios and managing portfolio management, risk oversight, and compliance. François pursued his academic studies at HEC Montreal. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
